IN THE BOATYARD:
The Victoria Class Fender Barge which will be used to moor submarines is a work in progress now that the final details of the design are decided. The plates for the mid body of the barge are being cut and formed and the weld crew is now underway assembling the hull.

Did You Know?
The Royal Navy first used searchlights in 1882 to prevent Egyptian forces from manning artillery batteries at Alexandria.  Later that same year, the French and British forces landed troops under searchlights.
